Todd has been incredibly helpful as I work through some of my late grandmother’s items. He answered the phone promptly, was kind and patient, and made the entire process feel much less overwhelming. His professionalism and politeness truly stood out. I highly recommend Todd to anyone in need of an appraiser—he’s fantastic to work with!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This man came to a church group and we were all asked to bring an item in: I brought in a German Photo Album from WW2. He picked it up off the table and said ‘Who brought in the Nazi book?” I was mortified. He didn’t let up. The album is a piece of history and moreover, there were no soldiers wearing a swastika. He went on to appraise it . It was one of the worst experiences of my life.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My husband and I attended an "Antiques Roadshow" style event hosted by Howard County featuring Peenstra Antique Appraisals. Todd made the experience both highly worthwhile and also amazingly educational and interesting , not just for the items we brought, but also by listening to him evaluate items brought by the other attendees. We felt he was highly proficient and professional, and felt very comfortable and confident with his assessments.

Mr. Peenstra (Todd) facilitated an antiques “Show & Tell” at the Heritage Harbor CommunityCenter. Todd explained the ways value is determined and provided an estimated wholesale price value and estimated market value price.

His vast knowledge of antiques made it possible for him to provide information on each article, more than 150 items!! Todd’s passion for antiques was evident as he spoke about each item. Throughout the event Todd was professional, personable and playful. Not only is Todd an antique dealer, he is a comedian & entertainer!

I highly recommend Pennstra Appraisals, meet Todd and have a pleasant and jovial time with gentleman who knows antiques!!!

A five star appraisal session at HH. Very knowledgeable and personable. I was pleasantly surprised at the value and insight to the items I brought to the show plus all the items presented to the show. Hope you will be back. Excellent.

On October 17, 2024, I attended a Heritage Harbor community event where we met Mr. Peenstra. He was presented with numerous items belonging to members of the community. He explained the various issues which determined the value of each article and it was clear that he had not only an in-depth knowledge regarding antiques, but a passion for them as well. Throughout the entire event, he was personable, patient, and showed a true interest in each person’s “treasure”. He’s a gem!
